A. Troy Abercrombie

Mr. Abercrombie serves as Talley’s Director of Accounting and Auditing Services and has filled this position since 1993. Mr. Abercrombie is responsible for supervision of the professional staff, review and quality control of assurance service, including traditional accounting and auditing engagements, operational and business advisory services, analysis and recommendations for business processes, and management of risks. Mr. Abercrombie also serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Talley, LLP.
Mr. Abercrombie currently serves as the partner in charge of the firm’s new entrepreneurial small business division. This division focuses on business with revenues less than $5 million and provide bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, and controllership services.
Mr. Abercrombie has significant experience working with closely-held companies and their owners. He has particular exposure to the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and transportation industries. Mr. Abercrombie has assisted these businesses by preparing financial statements, analyzing internal control procedures, designing and implementing accounting systems, assisting in the conversion of computer systems and developing significant ratio and data analyses.
Mr. Abercrombie serves as the CFO for a mid-size manufacturing company. His duties include managing accounting department personnel, negotiating and obtaining financing, evaluating adequacy of insurance coverages, and provides oversight control for the owners of the enterprise.
Mr. Abercrombie has taught continuing education classes for Grant Thornton and has lectured to California State University, Fullerton and Chapman University students on topics such as ethics and trends in Public Accounting. Prior to joining Talley, LLP, Mr. Abercrombie was a Senior Audit Manager for Grant Thornton, an international accounting firm, and served closely-held businesses and publicly traded entities in the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and construction industries.

Todd T. Tillman

Todd T. Tillman is the Tax Director of Talley, LLP, and Talley Law Group, LLP. Mr. Tillman has extensive experience in tax planning, consulting and compliance for income, estate, and gift tax clients; representation before tax authorities from initial audit through United States Tax Court; legal planning, consulting, and compliance for a variety of entities, both for-profit and non-profit; and planning and drafting estate plans and business agreements. Mr. Tillman is responsible for overall performance of the tax and legal services provided to the firm’s clients.
Mr. Tillman provides tax and legal counsel to small and medium-sized businesses and their owners on a wide array of tax and business consulting services, including entity structures, wealth preservation and enhancement, asset protection, succession planning, and other sophisticated tax reduction strategies and planning matters. Mr. Tillman has experience with closely-held businesses in the transportation, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, financial services, and real estate industries.
Prior to joining Talley, Mr. Tillman served on active duty as an Assistant General Counsel, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Senior Military Legal Counsel to various commanders.

Thomas Champieux

Mr. Champieux serves as Talley’s Director of Accounting and Auditing Services. Mr. Champieux is responsible for supervision of the professional staff as well as the review and quality control of assurance services, including traditional accounting and auditing engagements, operational and business advisory services, analysis and recommendations for business processes, and management of risks. Mr. Champieux has significant experience working with closely held-companies and their owners.
He has particular exposure to the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and transportation industries. Mr. Champieux has assisted these businesses by preparing financial statements, analyzing internal control procedures, designing and implementing accounting systems, assisting in the conversion of computer systems and developing significant ratio and data analyses. Mr. Champieux has acted as an expert witness on numerous occasions, offering professional opinions and testimony in respect to generally accepted accounting principles, including tests of documentary evidence supporting the transactions recorded in the accounting records.
Mr. Champieux has spoken and lectured to California State University and Chapman University students on topics such ethics and trends in Pubic Accounting. Prior to joining Talley, Mr. Champieux was Partner at a local Newport Beach-based CPA firm, where he specialized in serving closely-held businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and construction industries. Matthew Talley is the force behind Group 11 Advisors. His previous experience in the commercial banking profession gives him a unique understanding of the financial reporting issues faced by small businesses. His observations not only helped lead to the firm’s reception, but also were the source of many of its categorical distinctions, including the ability to offer CPA-level financial analysis for small and moderate sized businesses at an affordable price.
